On the Thursday and Friday there will be two sessions (9 am to 12 noon) and (2pm to 5 pm), and only a morning session on the Saturday. Saturday night is the championship dinner at the Launceston Country Club, to which the volunteers are invited for free.
Our Club has volunteered to control the competition on Little Pine Lagoon. For this we need about 17 volunteers and 4 boats for each of the five competition sessions. The idea is to use the Lodge at Miena as our base as members can stay there each night. This reduces the travelling required.
The duties of Controllers are not onerous, and there will be at least one workshop prior to the event to inform Controllers of their duties. No fishing skill is required.
