Upcoming events
The North West Fly Fishers Club would again like to invite members from your Club to attend our February Inter Club weekend staying on the Friday 24th and Saturday 25th Nights. A competition is held on the Saturday with the winners’ name and Club to be engraved on the Brian Viney Memorial Shield.
Fishing will be from 1800 Friday 24th to about 1200 Sunday 26th.
The Lagoon will potentially feature mudeye, dun, spinner, hopper, beetle or caenid activity at this time. The Lagoon is physically reasonably hard to navigate due to the amount of fallen timber around its shore. Good foot wear and leg coverage is advised due to there being some snakes.

Fly tying lessons are held in the winter months of the year from April to September and cater for all levels of ability and experience. Guest fly tiers also feature on occasions during fly tying sessions. The club monthly newsletter has all dates and times of upcoming fly tying sessions. In addition, a fly tying weekend (usually June or July) is held at Devon Lodge with a guest tier for the more advanced tiers in the Club.

The brown trout season has drawn to a close and Lodge usage has dropped off. It is therefore time for the annual Lodge clean up. Any perishable food stuffs in the cupboards will be thrown out and the Lodge itself will get a "thorough going over" (windows cleaned, vacuum under & behind furniture etc.)
This co-incides with the IFS Open Days at Liawenee.
